Life-on was on tour again – this time on four wheels from Stuttgart to the Cap d’Antibes peninsula in southern France – over Alpine passes and away from the mainstream.
Jan Kalmar, the founder of “Beyond Adventure”, made the name of this event a part of the program: he combined his enthusiasm for special cars with his passion for travel and adventure and led us on an unforgettable journey with extraordinary nature experiences and routes far from the norm.
Our 6-day trip „The Alps Crossing“ started in Stuttgart, where there was a professional briefing and then an exclusive welcome dinner. On the second day the real adventure began with the first kilometers covered in the direction of the Black Forest to the foot of the Alps. On the first alpine pass the view of the Mont Blanc opened up to us. As Jan Kalmar said: “A little foretaste of the grandiose views of the coming days!”. What a great start!
In the days that followed, the roads became more and more adventurous and unforgettable. On the fourth day, for example, we reached one of the highest drivable paths in the Alps with our cars at an altitude of almost 3000 meters. Once at the top we enjoyed a great picnic surrounded by magnificent nature. The season for the “Alps Crossing” tour brings the perfect conditions for wide visibility and bright blue skies.
The overnight stays always took place in upscale and very good hotels, which often also offered a spa experience, so that we could start the day with new energy every morning. Here you will find a small glimpse of the hotel on the fifth day.
The sixth and last day of our adventure trip not only makes the hearts of all rally and Formula 1 fans beat faster: on this day, true to the motto “Rally and Racing”, we drove the exciting rally stages of Monte Carlo and Col de Turini. The last section left nothing to be desired, because we drove a loop over the world-famous Formula 1 track in Monaco.
A total of 1175 kilometers later we all spent our last evening together with a stylish farewell dinner in the exclusive and truly breathtaking city of Antibes, which lies between Nice and Cannes.
The tour was characterized by unique moments in nature with people who are close to the heart – and an ingenious organization. Individual requests were also met at any time. Our thanks go to the team, who made this trip something very special and unforgettable. The word “perfect” sums up our experience very well.
